Likewise, we believe in socking away everyday savings to reach our goals – like buying a home in the next five years and retiring near the ocean. We work towards our goals – and yours – by combining the best savvy-spending advice and personal finance tips.
Our aim is to make each tip practical, personal, and useful. Or some combination thereof (but without fancy words like thereof). We focus on value for your money, not just the lowest price, so you will see high- and low-end deals featured.
We love to share our insights about saving money and we want you to do the same. Because as much as we can teach you about bargain hunting, together we can save a whole lot more.

Ethics
I do not accept money from any business or manufacturer to blog about their product on BargainBabe.com. If I write about a restaurant, retailer, Web site or product it is because I believe there is a good deal to be had. I sell sponsored posts and advertising on the site and participate in referral programs, however, because I gotta pay my bills. Paid content is always identified.
Speaking engagements
I give two types of talks: one about saving money and one about making a living off blogging.
Saving money – I discuss how to save on groceries, meals out, household bills, vacations, and much more. Includes hands-on activity where participants learn how to make a monthly budget. Talks include handouts with top money-saving Web sites and resources.
Blogging – I discuss everything from blogging basics to advanced ethical and business concepts. Topics include the differences between writing for print versus blogs, how to set up a blog, the basic technical skills you need to blog, how to promote your blog and network online, the value of social networking, and how to make money off your blog.
I have spoken at public libraries, college classes, bookstores, and to writing groups, private social groups and religious organizations. I cater my talks to the size and interests of your group.
