Okay folks, here is my first video for WalletPop. I was nervous watching it for the first time with my Mom, who I impersonate in the video. But we both liked it. What do you think?
UPDATE: Just wanted to share this amazing coupon story from reader Kristin:
Loved the video. I am trying to get into using coupons more and I signed up on couponmom.com but it’s still a little confusing to me. I am wondering if I should look at other sites. Anyway, I tried this last night. I had two coupons for corn starch and then I saw that the cornstarch was on sale at Ralphs with the club card for $1.99. I asked if they double coupon and they said yes, up to $1.00 and you can use up to two coupons per item but only one gets doubled. So after my coupons and the sale, I ended up getting a $3.99 container of cornstarch for free! It was exhilarating!
im trying to get my husband involved too.

Very informative! I didn’t know you can use the manufacturered coupon along with the store coupon. Awesome!

Glad you liked the video. Some retailers are more picky about combining manufacturer and store coupons, but Walgreens, Rite Aid, Target and many others DO allow you to stack.

That was awesome! I may even start subscribing to the Sunday paper, which I hate, just for the coupons.
Great job!!

Great video and I loved that you actually went to a store and showed us how the stacking works!

Drat! I was hoping nobody would notice that.

Yay! GOOD job Julie ! You are too cute
One thing not mentioned was using coupon clippers services or ebay for coupons. I’m finding both much more convenient and “green” than buying 6 papers a week. (I have 6 in my family) What do you think?

I agree that buying coupons can be cheaper than subscribing to a newspaper, though with the super discounts most publishers are offering these days, you’d have to do a little math to see what is best for you. As far as coupon clipping services go, I’ve used TheCouponMaster.com. Which ones do you use?

Both of these are good:
http://www.couponsthingsbydede.com/
and http://thecouponclippers.com/
I subscribe to the LA Times and Daily News but they don’t have multiple Sunday subscription offers that I know of.
It would be handy to just have them all delivered:) I worked out a deal with the carrier once but he never showed up with the goods, darn it.
I’m still working out the math. On some of the high value Qs (BOGOs, Free) it is worth it to just go ahead and order in quantity rather than picking up mass newspapers. Can you tell I’m a stockpiler, hehe.

Love it!
I love to stack coupons, but have gotten lazy about clipping. You have motivated me!
I didn’t even know Walgreens has register rewards! I need to check that out.
Thanks, Julia!

Awesome. I just found your website today (while looking for Veterans’ Day freebies) and it’s a treasure trove. And what a great video — you’re like the Tina Fey of bargain-hunting. (I mean that in a good way!) I heard our local grocery store doesn’t allow you to stack, but then a friend of mine tried it there, and they did let her! So I’m always going to try from now on — you never know!

Welcome to the club, Sarah! Glad you liked my video. I’ve been compared to Tina Fey before but I really don’t get it. So we both have dark rimmed glasses and brown hair?! On the other hand, Tina Fey is a hottie so I’m flattered, thamks.
