As each person subscribes, they are given a number (as in first subscriber, second subscriber, third subscriber...) I give Hubby the range of subscriber numbers by looking at the dates the contest ends and begins. So all the readers who subscribe before the contest starts go into one pool. The subscribers who join during the contest go into another pool. If you do not respond to the winner notification email (beyond the 48 hours I allot), then yes, you don't win.
